The centre conducts direct assessments in four hubs: Dubbo, Manly, Wagga Wagga and Westmead.
A plan for reading intervention is developed in collaboration with the school and parents or carers. This is based on the direct assessment information and builds on support provided in the school.
The plan for reading Intervention includes classroom adjustments. The student’s school is supported to implement the plan for reading intervention and has ongoing contact with the specialist team from the centre. The plan for reading intervention is generally in place for 12 months and includes systematic monitoring and scheduled reviews.
